The Polymetallic Holding Group Seligdar (hereinafter – the Holding Group or Seligdar) will provide support to 20 students of the Aldan Sports School of the Olympic Reserve as part of a special scholarship programme.

Among the scholarship recipients are multiple winners and prize-winners of regional as well as national cross-country skiing competitions and biathlon tournaments.

At present, more than 500 athletes of the sports school train in cross-country skiing, biathlon and alpine skiing at the ski and biathlon complex in Aldan.

The Holding Group provides support to the sports organisation since 2022. Thanks to financing from Seligdar, new equipment is purchased for young athletes, scholarships are paid to students, specialised training camps are organised, and participation in off-site competitions is ensured.

In the autumn of last year, for the second consecutive year, international-level cross-country skiing competitions, the “Seligdar Cup”, took place at the ski and biathlon complex. The event brought together leading athletes of the national teams of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, the strongest skiers of the Far East and Siberia, as well as participants in republican competitions in alpine skiing and snowboarding.
