1. Mining activities are in progress according to the approved gold extraction schedule for 2009 at the opencast of Nadezhda site, 1026 tons of ore have been delivered to the ore stockpile taking into account the residues from 2008.
2. Ore crushing is in progress according to the production schedule for 2009, 864 tons of ore have been prepared for stacking., which is 69% of the year’s plan target.
3. Gold extraction is continued at the heap leaching plant of Nizhneyakokitskiy mining complex, total of 600 kilograms of gold has been extracted starting from the beginning of operation.
4. Placement of ore into stacks is complete, presently maintenance and conservation activities on the equipment of sintering plants are in progress.
5. Construction of the warehouse for toxic compounds has been completed – wall panels have been installed, finishing and installation of amenities is in progress on the warehouse territory, external fence is under construction.
6. Installation of instrumentation and controls and debugging of the software is in progress at the heap leaching plant. Expected completion date is the first decade of December 2009.
7. 648 line meters of core drilling has been accomplished in May at the locations of Nadezhda deposit intended for commercial operation. Drilling was performed with the purpose of additional geological survey of deep horizons and flanks of the Nadezhda deposit and refining the boundary and parameters of the on-balance reserves.
